Let's look at some of the pros and cons of the HTC Droid DNA.

HTC Droid DNA Pros

  • Amazing pixel density of 440ppi, surpassing any other phone till date
  • 5 inch 16M-color Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen
  • 1.5 GHz Quad Core Krait CPU
  • 8.0 Megapixel primary camera
  • 2.1 Megapixel secondary shooter
  • Features HTC Sense 4+ UI
  • Loaded with the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, planned upgrade to 4.2
  • Supports NFC

One of our big concerns for the phone is the battery life, as it needs to power its massive HD display. We were quite surprised to see HTC droid DNA battery runs for much longer than expected. In the benchmarking test, it reported more talk time on standby time compared to lot of other android phones.

HTC Droid DNA Cons

  • One of the biggest negatives for the phone is definitely the lack of microSD card. If the entire memory Droid DNA is 16 GB. Out of 16 GB, 11 GB of memory is accessible to the user. It is always recommended to have options and that is why  just 11 GB of memory is just not enough, especially with games and apps touching the higher side of 1GB per game.
  • Droid DNA is a uni-body phone which means the battery is integrated into the phone and cannot be replaced in case you run out of it.
  • Droid DNA has been kept as an exclusive in the US to the carrier Verizon so if you want one subsidized and you don't have Verizon you have to switch. Either that or get an unlocked one.
