- Go to evasi0n's site & download evasi0n for Windows, Linux or MAC. This tutorial covers jail breaking for the windows system. Works on (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 for 2013 )
- Before you start the Jailbreak process, go through the Readme inside the folder. Now right click on the evasi0n.exe file and select Run as administrator. If a user access control windows pops up, choose yes.
- Plug in your iPhone 5 or iPad or any device having iOS 6.x, it doesn't include any jailbreak for appleTV product.
- You will notice a pop up message on the evasi0n tool indicating that it has detected your Apple device.. Once your apple device is detected, the Jailbreak button will be enabled.
- To begin the jailbreak process, click the Jailbreak button.
- All the needed steps will now be performed automatically which includes lot of commands to the bootrom etc and this may take a while, so wait for sometime.
- Now system will ask you unlock your device. Now unlock your device, and you will see a new application icon on your springboard named “Jailbreak”. Tap this Jailbreak app once , and the screen should go black and then return to the Home screen.
- Please Make sure to tap the application icon only ONCE (this is really important).
- You will continue to see messages such as injecting JB data, and Root File system successfully remounted on the evasi0n tool.
