Pros and cons of HTC desire X

HTC recently came up with HTC desire X-another mid range android smart phone which is better than its previous STC counterpart - the one V. HTC desire X as another option to HTC lovers were looking for the phone in the range of $300.

HTC desire X is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor, 512 Mb RAM and android jellybean. The specs are quite decent and you're likely to see people buying HTC desire X.

Let's look at some of the major pros and cons

Pros of desire X

HTC desire X comes with 4.0 inch TFT capacitive display
resolution of 480 x 800 which is quite decent
loaded with android 4.0 ICS ice cream sandwich
the phone even has HTC sense
768 MB of RAM is something we need to appreciate
five megapixel camera with supports geo-tagging, autofocus and face detection
supports GPS with GPS connectivity

Cons of desire X

it's overpriced-there are a lot of Samsung , Sony and HTC phones which is cheaper than desire X. This is one of the major cons of desire X.
camera offers poor video recording.
we did not like the back cover of HTC desire X.

Micromax  has amazed us again with its new 5 inch super phone - A110 Canvas. A110 looks wonderful & its an upgraded version of  Micromax A100. We will be comparing the new A110 Canvas with older A90 pixel & test the both android phones on the basis of display, camera, price , build quality.

So let's discuss some of the pros & cons of A90 & A110.

Dual Core Processor

Micromax A90 has a single core processor with MediaTek MT675 chipset. A110 is rumored to be have a better chipset from MediaTek to support it's dual core processor. Micromax A110 get's an edge here for the dual core 1Ghz processor in such price tag. Its the biggest pro of Micromax  canvas.

A110 lacks AMOLED screen

A90 had an awesome AMOLED screen which is missing in the newer canvas A110. We were really expecting an amoled display with a dual core version. A110 has a IPS LCD display which supports 16 millions colors.

Bigger 5 inch Display Screen

One of the prime features of Micromax A110 is 5 inch of ips capacitive display. It gives you feel of having a galaxy note with price tag of just $200. Large display screen makes it very easy to watch movies, play games & surf the internet.

A110's camera is slightly better

Though both the android phones share similar camera of 8MP, A110 canavas camera comes with an autofocus features which was not there in A90.

Price

We has expected this phone to be priced somewhere around 13,999/- but micromax surprised us with awesome price of just Rs.9,999/-

Verdict

It can't get better than this. Android ice cream sandwich , 5 inch display screen, bigger battery, 8 megapixel camera & price tag of just $ 200 makes it the best in this category. As far as you don't care much about the brand name & ready to trust india's emerging mobile manufacturer,  A110 Canvas is an offer you cannot refuse.
