if you're on a call, name of person will be shown in notification bar.You can hang up or hold the call from the notification bar without actually moving to the calling section. Similarly, if you have any missed call, it will be displayed in notification window and you can directly call back.This is a JB addition and it's very useful.
ICS for Xperia S missed one of the important feature- turning the screen off while calling through handset. After picking up call, keys get pressed as screen was not turned off. in jellybean, Xperia S turns it's screen off as soon as you pick up and answer the phone.
Move to an individual conversation and you'll see a white-blue color combination for text messages. It helps us to distinguish between incoming and outgoing messages. The incoming texts are highlighted with light blue background. The message sending has small animation in it. After sending, the message kind of shakes and then settles down to it's position.
