Blackberry Z10 Pictures and Specs - Features BB10 OS, 4.2 Inch display, 1.5 GHz Dual core CPU, 5 megapixel camera

Blackberry Z10, RIM's upcoming smartphone

Latest leaks show Research In Motion's ad campaign for its highly awaited new BlackBerry Z10 handset. The ad campaign shows off the different features of RIM's BlackBerry Z10 smartphone including its Browser, Calendar, Hub and the most talked about feature Balance which allows you to have separate work and home profiles. Though the feature sounds really exciting in theory, it all comes down to how well RIM has implemented the feature.

The BlackBerry Z10 hopes to be the new flagship device from RIM featuring the BB10 OS which will bring RIM back into the Smartphone race. From the leaked images it appears that the phone will be available in black and white instead of following the multicolor route like the Lumia series.

RIM Teases Blackberry 10, Set to launch in January 2013

BlackBerry 10 launching in January 2013

While the official launch of BlackBerry 10 has been scheduled for January 30, 2013, RIM decided to ruffle up the market by teasing one of its upcoming smartphones. The photo doesn't really show much but the back of the company's yet to be announced product got partially revealed on its official website itself.

RIM releases Blackberry 10 Teaser

BlackBerry 10 Teaser : Re-Designed, Re-Engineered and Re-Invented

The teaser image shows the textured back portion of what's probably an already leaked, touchscreen-only smartphone and has its camera unit on the top left side, as well as a large trademark BlackBerry logo in the middle typical to the blackberry phones. The company has promised a re-designed, re-engineered, and re-invented BlackBerry experience and by the looks of it, the phone does look good from what has been leaked. RIM needs almost a miracle to bring the company back into the smartphone competition, where once it was a leader in Business Enterprise phones but now is being quickly replaced by other options like the iPhone and popular Android phones.

Blackberry vs The Competition

Whats interesting is that RIM seems to be following Apple's approach with their new phone, they want to release one product and make sure they do it right. How the phone will stack up against its competition is still debatable. Will the upcoming BlackBerry be able to make a strong impression in the market? Or will it just get lost among the large number of smartphones out there.
