HTC One UltraPixel camera : Sample pictures in Zoe, HDR and Macro mode


HTC One M7 is the first phone to feature the new UltraPixel camera technology and even one of the exclusive features of the phone. There was a little confusion over how a camera with just a 4 ultra pixel could be any good but soon people realized that the HTC One's 4UP camera is at par and in some cases even better than most of leading 8 or 12 megapixel camera technologies. Let's have a look at the sample pictures taken by the HTC One phone. The pictures are taken in different modes such as standard, Zoe, Macro and HDR.

There will be plenty of instances where you had to choose more according to the light around you. The Zoe and HDR modes are impressive and the macro mode captures great pictures even in good sunlight. Whenever you'll need  to go back to taking regular shots, you can simply switch to Zoe mode.

Normal vs HDR Mode

These pictures are taken in relatively low light. The first picture was clicked in a normal mode without the aid of a flash. The second pictures taken withe HDR Mode on. To switch to HDR mode (Menu > Photo capture mode > HDR). Its advised to use HDR when your picture's brightness varies over a larger range.

Night Mode With Flash

The night mode seems pretty decent as we try experimenting with the built-in flash. This particular picture was taken in night mode with flash on. As you can see the quality of the picture is pretty impressive and hard to beat even with most available smart phone camera.

HTC One's Macro Mode

The macro mode works as it is supposed to and can be used to take extreme close-ups of objects in great detail. While the macro level isnt at par with what a digital camera can offer it is still quite impressive for a smartphone camera.
